Peter Moore (trombone)
with Robert Thompson (piano)
Thursday, 6th December 2018 – 7.30pm
Performers
In 2008, at the age of 12, Peter astounded viewers by becoming the youngest ever BBC Young Musician of the Year. He was appointed co-principal trombone of the London Symphony Orchestra when he was 18 and has just been named as one of the European Concert Hall Organisation’s Rising Stars for the 2018/19 season. He is still only in his early 20s. His passion for pushing the boundaries of the trombone is reflected in tonight’s programme with its eclectic mix of the old and the new. Peter will be accompanied by Robert Thompson, a celebrated chamber musician and instrumentalist.
