Dominic Degavino (piano)
Tuesday, 4th October 2022 – 7.30pm
Concert preceded by the Society’s AGM at 6.30pm in the White Room – please come and join the discussion.
Performer
If you were in the audience for the Mithras Trio concert here in March 2022, you will remember the brilliance of Dominic’s playing at the heart of the ensemble. He is a passionate chamber musician and prize-winning accompanist, jazz player and solo artist, who has given concerts all over the UK, including at London’s Wigmore Hall and Southbank Centre, the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester, and the Edinburgh festival.
It’s as a solo artist that we hear him tonight, playing music written by Beethoven and Brahms at the start of their careers. Completing the programme are two short works by Schubert and Amy Beach, an American composer whose Romantic music is increasingly establishing itself in the repertoire.
There’s another chance to hear the Mithras Trio in Hexham on 1st April next year.
